Our favorite (and the crowd’s favorite) came from Lisa W. for the ’90s classic ‘Saved by the Bell’:
“I would say they should make a Saved by the Bell slot machine. If you get 5 bells you get to play the “after school bonus” If you get 5 screeches you lose money. if you get 5 slaters you get to play the “pump up your muscles” game.”
Congrats to Lisa on winning a Pechanga spa gift card for her creative idea. Below are some more of our favorites:
Scarface
“The icons can be Pelicans, Tony Montana’s face, cool guns and money stacks… There can be a shootout bonus round where you earn credits by selection until you get “Hit” (end of bonus)…A mob takeover round where you get credits by selection until you, well, get taken over (end of bonus) there can also be a progressive jackpot where you move from small time thug to Kingpin. Also, a really cool rumble pack and speakers in the seat to make it exciting!” - Gen A.
The Bachelor
“I would like to play a slot machine based off of a Reality TV Show like The Bachelor! And when the Bonus hit, we can see the individual women progress with the bachelor; if they got a rose or went home, if the dates went good or bad..etc LOL!” - Felicia M.
The Exorcist
“The Exorcist and when you hit the bonus the chair is going to shake, and shake…” - Saúl I.
Twilight…of course
”Twilight..match the vampires….Do you know how many women would play that slot for hours!!!!:) watch out for werewolves…Spin Bella’s Bonus Wheel for a “Heart Stopping” good Time…” - Laura L.
The Osbourne’s
“Ozzy biting batheads off, Jack splurting out rude comments, Kelly flitting around with dance costumes, Sharon picking up dog crap everywhere, neighbors throwing turkeys over walls…you could have a field day with that one. :)” - Kristyl A.
The Biggest Loser
“Maybe Biggest Loser. In order to play the slot, you’d have to pedal…play slots - get healthy!” - Tina C.
We especially liked that last one — nothing better than staying healthy while gaming.
Clash of the Titans (original)
“I think it should be Clash of the Titans, old school, with special bonus rounds for the Zeus’ realm (good) and the underworld (bad). And battling the Kraken would be a different extra spins/bonus section.” - Cheryl S.
Be on the lookout for the ‘American Idol’ slot machine coming soon to Pechanga.
Question: What do you think about the idea of slot machines with 3D screens? Would you play an ‘Avatar’ slot machine in 3D?

This week’s winner is Matt R. who had two great tips, most notably this tip about pacing when playing slots:
“Don’t get anxious. If you are losing, slow down. Take a breath, take a drink. Remember it’s only a game and wait a minute before you pull the lever. At least for me, the more anxious I get, the faster I make my next bet, the more I lose. Slow and methodic seems to be the ticket…” - Matt R.
Matt’s tip is one of the most important you should always remember. It’s easy to lose yourself and get overexcited; remember to slow down and think about your bets.
And for blackjack players, Matt also suggested: “Float by the tables and look for the one where the deck is winning. Sit down and play. As soon as the deck starts losing, get up and move on. Find the next winning deck.”
Here’s another great tip from Jeanette:
“As soon as you double your money or more, cash out of that machine and put the ticket away. Start with a new bill, when it’s doubled do the same thing, if you lose it, leave. At the end of the night you will have money to cash in.”
Plus some craps fans stopped by with some tips:
“On the come out roll on craps, always call the Buffalo bet…all the hard ways and the yo!” - Debi
“Play the horn bet on the craps table! Best odds payout!” - Jennifer
